Everything at Risk

When Jesus lays out the cost of discipleship, it is in the starkest possible terms. Everything is on the line, including our most intimate and hallowed relationships, and perhaps even those things we so often take for granted: our sense of individual autonomy and control. The cost of discipleship means putting everything at risk for the sake of God’s love and so we can only expect one thing: that everything in our lives will be changed.
