Christmas for the (Un)Closeted Christian

How embarrassing it is - especially in a post-Christendom era like the one we live in; in a diverse and secular era where being Christian is becoming increasingly unusual and slightly odd - that we - conservative, liberal, and in the middle alike - gather together this evening and call this fragile, gurgling child "God," revere him, give him every accolade we can imagine.
