Belle Mickelson offers a sermon concerning the indigenous peoples living in a fragile, beautiful landscape above the Arctic Circle and how our hunger for resources puts them in peril.

The Rev. Belle Mickelson is a newly ordained transitional deacon in the Diocese of Alaska. She has been living in Alaska for 30 years playing fiddle music, making friends, writing curriculum as a marine education professor, teaching at an alternative high school, raising her family at a bird-watching lodge, and helping out at her church.
